                                    Functional Medicine, Chiropractic

Ease of Being.

Ease of being.  Have you ever thought it's possible to feel better, work better and live better?

Working with patients on an individual level, Dr. Zepfel helps them live the life they want and purse their passions free from the distractions of pain and fatigue.

Chiropractic Functional Medicine addresses the underlying questions of why you might not be feeling your best.  What is the source of your pain? What is the underlying causation of your symptoms?  How can we improve your current health and prevent further dysfunction and illness?

Often taken for granted; stress, nutrition and structure all affect daily function.  Dr. Zepfel works with her patients to identify and treat these causative factors.  Gentle, yet grounded guidance and treatment direct patients towards positive healthy function.

I use a wide variety of chiropractic techniques to address body pain caused by injury, posture and poor biomechanics. The chiropractic adjustment, non-force techniques and soft tissue work are all ways to access the body’s nervous system.  I choose different combination of techniques to best address each individual’s needs and tolerance.   I specialize in detailed soft tissue work best suited for painful conditions affecting the face, feet, hands, neck, shoulder and low back.

Techniques utilized include;

  • Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization (commonly referred to as Graston)

  • SOT (Sacral Occipital Technique)

  • Cranial work

  • Activator

  • Applied Kinesiology

  • Webster Technique (for pregnancy)

Functional Medicine is an integrative approach to treat illness and promote wellness by focusing on the individual patient’s physiology, emotional well-being and structural balance.  Detailed patient history, signs, symptoms and laboratory markers are used to determine dietary and lifestyle modifications.  Conditions that benefit from this type of an integrative functional approach include:

  • Fibromyalgia

  • Chronic fatigue

  • Inflammation

  • Obesity

  • Thyroid

  • Adrenal fatigue

  • Metabolic Syndrome

  • Chronic Headaches
